PRINCE Philip was left "conscious but shocked and very, very shaken" today after his Land Rover flipped during a shocking crash near the Sandringham estate.
The fiercely independent royal, 97, was uninjured after the 4x4 he was driving was "T-boned" and then overturned on the A419 at Babingley, Norfolk at 3pm.

The Duke of Edinburgh was pulling out of a driveway onto the rural a-road when his car was smashed on its side.
Eyewitnesses have told how they hauled the Prince from his wrecked vehicle - which had flipped over onto the driver's door.
A royal bodyguard with the Prince at the time also escaped uninjured, it's been reported.
Those who witnessed the crash said the elderly royal was "shaken" after his car "turned over" after being "T-boned" and left with a smashed windscreen.

One told the BBC: "We helped get him out. He was conscious but very, very shaken. There were lots of police around."
Philip - who miraculously walked away from the crash - is now being cared for by royal doctors and the Queen is by his side at Sandingham tonight.
PRINCE LEFT 'SHOCKED AND VERY SHAKEN'
The people in the other car - two women and a baby- were treated in hospital but have since been discharged.
They added Prince Philip and the driver of the Kia people carrier were breath tested and provided negative readings.
A Norfolk Police spokesman said: "The male driver of the Land Rover was uninjured.
"The female driver of the Kia suffered cuts while the female passenger sustained an arm injury, both requiring hospital treatment.
"We can confirm both casualties from the Kia have been treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn and have since been discharged.
"The road remained open and both vehicles were recovered a short time later.
"It is force policy to breath test drivers involved in collisions. We can confirm both drivers were breath tested and provided negative readings."
BOTH DRIVERS PASSED POLICE BREATH TEST
Both cars were removed from the accident scene by a recovery truck.
Most royal vehicles are heavily armoured by the manufacturers ahead of delivery.
Jordan Andrew, 21, a builder at his dad’s home maintenance company, filmed the crash scene while travelling with a colleague who was driving.
Speaking with The Sun Online, Jordan, who lives in Moulton Seas End, said he wondered why there were so many unmarked police cars and flashing lights at the scene.
He said: “I saw flashing lights, multiple police cars and ambulances as we approached.
“There was a small paramedics car and a mobile ambulance.
“I wondered why there were so many unmarked police cars.

HEAVY POLICE PRESENCE AT CRASH SCENE
“There was a black range rover with flashing lights which obviously belonged to the police. And there was also a black BMW X5 which had flashing lights.”
Jordan said he only realised the significance of the crash when he received a new alert on his phone when he arrived home.
Another eyewitness who drove past the crash scene said she saw an ambulance and "a heavy police presence".
"I was just going down the A149 … and saw a lot of blue flashing lights ahead," she said.
"I saw a black, 4x4 type car on its side and me and my son were like 'oh my word, that doesn't look good'.
"Luckily it was just sort of on the side of the road, the road wasn't closed in any way.
"Obviously it looked quite smashed in. I'm quite amazed he [the duke] is okay actually."

Eyewtiness to crash
Dramatic pictures show the royal vehicle on its side after this afternoon's shocking collision.
A Buckingham Palace statement read: "The Duke of Edinburgh was involved in a road traffic accident with another vehicle this afternoon. The Duke was not injured.
"The accident took place close to the Sandringham Estate. Local police attended the scene."
Rhiannon Mills, Sky's royal correspondent, said: "From what I understand, Prince Philip has been seen by a doctor since that accident took place.
"I'm told that was a precautionary measure and that he is doing fine and that we should not be unduly concerned.
"Obviously, the fact that he is 97 years old will bring with it its own concerns. He is of course very independent and he has been a very active man."
Officers sealed off the crash scene, while an ambulance crew helped the injured.
PRAYERS FOR THE PRINCE
The Archbishop of York tweeted a prayer for the Prince following the accident.
He wrote: "Almighty God, the Fountain of all Goodness, We humbly beseech thee to bless Philip Duke of Edinburgh.
"Endow him with thy Holy Spirit; enrich him with thy Heavenly Grace; prosper him with all happiness; and bring him to thine everlasting kingdom, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."
The Queen and Prince Philip have been staying in Sandringham since Christmas.
The Duke did not attend the Christmas Day church service and retired from his duties in August 2017.
Last July he underwent major hip surgery.
His retirement came after decades of supporting the Queen and attending charity events.
Buckingham Palace said he had completed 22,219 solo engagements since 1952.

The crash comes after safety experts have warned of the increased dangers of older drivers getting behind the wheel.
Figures show in 2018, the number of drivers aged over 70 referred by the DVLA for extra testing went up by 20 per cent.
Under the law, Prince Philip will have had to reapply for his licence once he reached the age of 70.
There is no test or medical but a declaration has to be made.
Once over 70, he will have had to reapply for his licence every three years.
