Jared Kushner to be honored with Mexico’s Order of the Aztec

His father-in-law may be squabbling with the country over trade and immigration, but White House adviser Jared Kushner will receive the highest honor Mexico can bestow on foreigners, according to a report Tuesday.

Outgoing Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto will present Kushner with the Order of the Aztec on Thursday at the Group of 20 summit in Argentina, the Reforma newspaper reported.

Others who have received the award include Walt Disney, former Cuban President Fidel Castro, former Sen. Ted Kennedy, Bill and Melinda Gates and former Argentine first lady Eva Peron.

Peña Nieto will turn over his office to President-elect Andrés Manuel López Obrador on Saturday.

Kushner and his wife, first daughter Ivanka Trump, and Vice President Mike Pence will represent the US at his inauguration.
